The Upper Delaware River Valley has dozens of breeding bald eagles that thrive here year-round, building nests and raising young, so it is fairly common to see the mature birds (white head and tail) or immature eagles at any time of year. They come and go from favorite perches, but it is often an unexpected sighting that is the most thrilling, like when you are paddling down the river in July. |
